Grammar Tips

1.  All numbers under 100 must be written out

    * the exception is decimals

    * all numbers, including those over 100, must be written out if they begin the sentence

2.  If you are asked to write your opinion, you should make a statement.  

    * don't use "in my opinion..."  "I think..." "I feel..." or "I believe..."

3.  Try to avoid using contractions

    *should've, could've, and would've are NOT contractions - WRITE should have, could have, and would have

4.  Capitalization of words in a title

    * capitalize the first word in a title, and then every other word that is four letters or longer

5.  Capitalization of languages

    * capitalize any word that is a nationality or language (ie. German, English, Spanish, etc.)
